Surgery Update
She is out of surgery. All went well but it took a lot longer then we were expecting! Her vocal cords were moving so her voice should be good to go – Praise the Lord. The thyroid is on its way to NIH and apparently was very large. The surgeons were also able to save 3 of four para thyroid. Thank you for all the texts, and messages and especially to our dear friend that hung out with us and made us smile in the waiting room. It’s always so nerve wrecking when you are waiting for someone to get out of surgery. We just got back to her room and she is out of it which is a blessing as I’m sure there will be quite a bit of pain with this surgery. Thankfully they have managed her pain very well thus far and she is sleeping soundly.
