Well the day started out well. We went to clinic this morning for labs and IVIG which was pretty uneventful. Kimbell’s kidneys seem to like all of the extra fluid 🙂 unfortunately all 3 cell lines were down. I can’t say I was too surprised because her throat was hurting, she had a cough, and didn’t feel well but still disappointing. At the end of IVIG they took her blood pressure over and over again and finally gave her IV BP meds and then we waited. Her BP came down a little so we got to leave. John and I kept thinking that is really odd her BP goes down with IVIG not up and it goes down a lot…. Fast forward a few hours and poor Kimbell’s head was in horrible pain and she couldn’t stop throwing up. We maxed her out on phenergan, zofran, Benadryl, marinol, and Ativan. It didn’t matter she just kept throwing up. So now we are here back on Unit 4 where Stitch isn’t allowed 🙁 thanks mom and dad for getting Stitch for us. When we got to the floor she asked if our friend S could move because his old room was available and he now had her room! She then realized that S just had his transplant so he isn’t even allowed out of his room so it was now ok for her to occupy a different room!
Kimbell is hooked up to the BMT double pole for all her anti rejection, prophylactic drugs and her favorite nausea med phenergan. The good news is that she finally has some relief and is sleeping all snuggled up to dad :). K’s birthday is Tuesday so hopefully we will be out by then. I really think this is just a reaction to IVIG so I am really hopeful this is just an overnight stay. Aunt Chole and Zoey fly up tomorrow morning and K had it all planned out to have a spa party and a girls slumber party. They leave Sunday and then Sarah comes to celebrate K’s birthday. Tuesday is all planned out. She is having a tea party that the Sheraton has set up for her and she is sooooo excited. Then we are supposed to come to Unit 4 to hand out birthday cake and little gifts for all the kids on the unit. Is Kimbell the coolest kid or what? The saving grace to all of this? Kimbell has soooo many people praying for her, God has been with her through thick and thin her entire life and…… Drum roll….. HER doctor is on service! Which means no matter what we all know He will do everything he can for her, he knows her and us, and at the end of the day we know he will do what is best for Kimbell. Not that the other doctors aren’t great, they are but they aren’t JT. Please pray that all of this is just a reaction to IVIG.
Goodnight everyone, lots of prayers and love from us.

I just saw you back on the board this morning. Boo! Sorry about stealing K’s room. But glad Tolar is here for you!
We are praying for Kimbell and you and John too
Are you sure that wasn’t the result of an un-named monkey jumping on the bed? It is disappointing Kimbell is back in the hospital, but what a blessing she has the care she does. We never quit thinking of and praying for all of you!
