Inpatient again

In the grand scheme of things we have and continued to be so blessed I really am not entitled to ever complain but maybe I shouldn’t boast to loudly about how well Kimbell is doing.   Yesterday she spiked a fever after vomiting for forever so she was automatically admitted.  We blame that on our friend Sam because you see Sam has been inpatient every weekend but he passed the torch to K.   In all fairness Sam deserves every good day times infinity that he gets.  This morning during rounds I told everyone how awesome she is and how it has to be a little virus because she really is fine.  Everyone agreed but we have to wait on cultures.  Then the day went on and as it went on Kimbell went down.  She didn’t get out of bed except once to go to the bathroom, says she doesn’t feel good, everything is fuzzy, her BP was really low all day but has come up a little and then the kicker she fell back asleep at 6.   Hmmmmmmmm me and my big mouth.  I am praying she just needed extra rest and she is ok.

In other news I am asking for prayers for a little boy, really still a baby, by the name of Aditya.  He doesn’t have a blog or I would post it but he has been here a long time. He had his first transplant for a very rare form of leukemia long before K was admitted in June and well things didn’t go so swell.  We left and when we came back in August I saw mom and she broke down in tears because she had just found out that the graft did not take and her precious child needed another transplant.  Today I ran into this precious family again and once again the tears flowed.  He is day +20 and was just starting to engraft when they found out his leukemia was back. This baby has been hit with infection after infection and now on his second transplant and last night they started chemo in attempts to save his life.  They are from Iowa and have a beautiful three year old daughter who is staying with her grandparents.  Anyhow please pray for this family, they need the prayers so much.

Love love and thanks to all.
