Day -6
Kimbell has slept 99% of the day compliments of a lot of drugs. At least when she is asleep she doesn’t hurt, puke or feel nauseated but it’s so hard to not be able to talk to her and play with her. She is getting chemo now and then the last dose of this chemo will be at 10 PM. Tomorrow she starts a new chemo and I’m praying she doesn’t have side effects. Thankfully they increased her phenergan again and it seems to be helping. During rounds they said that her pain might be from mucositis starting 🙁 that is when you start shedding the lining of you digestive track, the chemo causes the breakdown of the mucosa. Needless to say it’s extremely painful. So while she sleeps I have eaten everything in site 🙁 and I mean everything. So much for my never-ending diet. Worst part is all we have is junk food so there is zero nutritional value. On a positive note I’m feeling a thousand times better so maybe it was just exhaustion who knows.

Glad you are feeling better! Glad kimbell is able to sleep through some of this but know it must be hard not to interact with her. Praying tonight she does well with the next round. Thanks for the updates. We miss yall
So glad she is able to sleep through some of the tougher parts. I pray she has no side effects during the next rounds of chemo. Piper story for Kimbell. 🙂 Piper painted her real bearded dragon, Lizzie, with kid friendly nail polish w/ glitter of course! Then it ran away and hid upstairs under her play kitchen. Daddy found Lizzie about 4 hours later. We are grounded from nail polish! Lol!
