Day -4 … Awesome Day!!!!
Well, there is really only one thing to say that would sum up how things went today. “Awesome!”
Kimbell was awake all day, feeling well, playing games, coloring, drawing, watching TV, etc. Full of smiles and laughs all day long… such a blessing and reward for the last few not-so-fun days she went through.
As the days move on Kimbell is growing more and more excited about Wednesday, July 2nd… “Day 0” That’s the day she gets her new marrow… hard to believe she’ll get an entirely new, healthy life with a simple infusion of the bone marrow. Kind of makes you giggle if you think about it. All she’s gone through for the last 9+ years goes away with one little bag of blood-looking liquid infused via IV. That’s her new marrow from the donor that will give her the life we all dream she will one day have!
Weighing on my mind tonight is Kimbell’s donor. I cannot imagine what all she is going through in preparation for the bone marrow donation, but she is a true miracle for us. We are so thankful and blessed that the anonymous young woman took the time to think of saving others and is going through the process to donate her marrow. Please know, dear anonymous donor, that we pray for you nightly and ask God to thank you a million time over for the good you are doing for our little angel.
We are signing off for the evening… Winding down from a day we will never forget. Thank you God for one more day of love and laughter with that special little girl we call Kimbell. 🙂

John, it sounds like answered prayers. Best news I’ve heard in a long time! Please know that all three of you are in our thoughts and prayers every day.
